Join me in knitting some fabulous Debbie Bliss Patterns. If someone is talented enough to make a button...I would appreciate it!

I do know of some places with discounted debbie bliss yarn and I will try to post those for you. Although, it is not necessary to use her yarn, but if you can it is well worth it.

Can't wait to see what everyone is working on...I think I will be starting with the circular cardigan from the new Out Of Town book...but it probably won't be until after the Christmas knits are done.

Leave a comment if you want to join in and don't forget to fill in your email.

KNIT ON everyone!

Me first!

Does this make me a charter member?

(I owe a cousin a couple of sweaters for her newborn twins, and I've been dragging my feet - since my baby-knits-du-jour book is Debbie's Special Knits, the KAL is great added motivation!)

I'm in! AND, more importantly, I am knitting something for ME! :)
I think I'll go with either the Cabled Capelet from the Cashmerino DK Book (I love that cape AND the color!) or "Paula" from the Alpaca Silk book.
I won't be able to start until post Christmas Knitting, but I can't wait!

I'd love to join in. I won't be able to start until after the holidays, though. I've already bought the yarn for the Child's Guernsey in her How To Knit book that I'm going to knit for my daughter or do we have to knit an adult sweater? If that's the case, I've picked out her Diagonal-Front Jacket from her Home book to knit for myself.

As a show of support to and for Debbie count me in. Not to mention the gorgeous to die for patterns and scrummy yarn!! Love the circular doo da. I went to the Knitting and stitiching show in London's Alexandra Palace where Debbie Bliss had a stall, of course she had sold out of Out of Town.

Like you, she got me into knitting with a passion with her baby books that were so different and made me want to knit.

I would love to join. I was lucky to meet Debbie Bliss too when she came to my LYS last week and after trying on the Shaped Edge Sweater, bought the Out of Town book and the DB cashmerinon aran in a deep wine colour. It felt sooo soft! Cast on last night, having finished my last sweater project, and am enjoying the knitting so far!

Just what I need to get moving on the Debbie Bliss Baby Bobble Jacket -- different yarn and needles and aiming for about a size 2. The back's about done unless I decide it should be longer. My grandson's 10 months old and running on the big side, so I need to get this finished!

Whew. I just this minute finished the back of the Baby Bobble Jacket and put the shoulder and neck sts on scrap yarn so I can, eventually, do a 3-needle bind off for the shoulders and just put the neck sts back on for the collar. Thinking about doing the two fronts simultaneously and figuring out how to do the sleeves in the round. Hmmm.

I know I would have been putting this off still if it weren't for the KAL! (and it's strange that the comments have a time stamp but no date?)

I didn't leave my e-mail before. It's s j a at t h e s p h i n x dot o r g (with no spaces anywhere and replacing obvious words). I don't have a blog, though.

ofzI knit a lot of Debbie Bliss baby patterns and would like to join the knitalong. I just completed a picot collar sweater in Opal self patterning sock yarn. Since we can show her patterns knit with other yarns, would it also be okay to show her yarn knit in other patterns? I'm doing a small shawl in her baby cashmerino. Anyway, my email is cciott@ntl.sympatico.ca.

I would like to join in too--is it too late? My first grandbaby was born in June--a boy...and my second grandbaby--a girl is due in November.
When I get off work today, I am heading to one of my favorite yarn stores, and buying some cashmerino DK to start the cable baby blanket in the Simply Baby book by Debbie Bliss. will also be looking at patterns for a sweater and legging set for the baby to match the blanket...I am off work the nest 4 days, work one day and then have two more off, so planning to get the blanket done and get a good start on the sweater!! This grandma is excited that I get to knit now with pinks and purples :)

I'm just a newbie to knitting - my first project being a retro cardie that i knitted for my daughter as a surprise who was travelling into a french winter. It brought me tremendous joy when she opened the present to see the she just loved it (and that it fitted perfectly - phew). Anyway I'm wanting to knit a cardie for my other daughter and saw a cool one (A line) in Family Knits - I love the colour (Pearl Pink) and am trying to source this colour but all the sites selling wool only go by numbers so was wondering if someone knew if there is a list somewhere that correlates the number to the colour name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi can someone please help me subscribe to the Debbie Bliss magazine, there seems to be no provision on the Debbie Bliss website, which is annoying. I live in Australia and although i bought the first magazine in Australia I can no longer get it here - I have the first three, and would like to get any others that there might be. Look forward to hearing from someone.
